HEALTH
"In health there is freedom. Health is the first of all liberties."
- Henri Frederic Amiel

In East Africa, disease and ailments can be significantly minimised by the providing health care which emphasises quality, equity and most importantly, will facilitate the most vulnerable, the children, to access. Healthcare in East Africa is not free. Quality health is difficult to access, unreliable and unaffordable for most people. Fields of Life aims to contribute to the community-based health care and education work in rural areas. Many people die every day from preventable diseases and treatable conditions, like malaria.

Health 5Fields of Life hopes to reduce disease by preventative immunisation, early detection, and health education. Our programme strives to inoculate the children in schools before ill health has a chance to take hold of their lives. A trained nurse from a local clinic travels to the schools to provide the children with screening and inoculation services. Our view is that an unhealthy child will not have a chance to grow, but will not have the ability to learn if suffering from ill health. The future of the programmes is to expand it to other schools.

Currently, Fields of Life has constructed and supports four health centres: Rapha, Lira, Kalingo, and Kyanja.
